AXIS 1.3a2 source release

AXIS 1.3 will contain some important new features. It will support emc2 (tested on HEAD) and bdi4emc (tested on BDI 4.38). It may run on emc1, but this is untested.

AXIS 1.2 and 1.2.1 Source Releases

I am pleased to announce the release of AXIS 1.2 and AXIS 1.2.1.

The AXIS 1.2 series supports emc1, bdi4emc, and emc2, and is available in six different languages.

Compared to the last Release Candidate, this version has a few updates to the Italian language translation.

AXIS version 1.2.1 contains a single change necessary for those using the HEAD of emc2 development.

An Ubuntu package should appear in the repository in the next few days.

AXIS 1.1.3 released

AXIS 1.1.3 is now available. Except for the version number and another emc2 build fix, it is identical to AXIS 1.1.3rc1. Except for a fix to build on recent versions of emc2, it is identical to AXIS 1.1.2.

A recent change in the emc2 development version requires a small change in AXIS.

I am pleased to announce the second Release Candidate version of AXIS (1.2rc2). Compared to the last release candidate, it has several small changes and a change required by changes in the HEAD version of emc2. AXIS 1.2rc2 supports emc1, bdi4emc, and emc2, and is available in six different languages.

AXIS 1.1.2 source release

Only users of EMC2 need to upgrade to this version. It changes the way the "rs274" (g-code interpreter) library is linked, to match changes made recently in the EMC2 CVS. There are no other changes or bugfixes.

I am pleased to announce the next alpha release of AXIS, version 1.2a2. Several new features have been added since the previous alpha release.

AXIS 1.2a1 release

AXIS 1.2a1 is now available. This is the first alpha test release of the next version of AXIS.

The major new feature in this release is internationalization: AXIS can now be translated into any language supported by Tk. So far, translations have been contributed for German, Romanian, Hungarian, and Italian. More Information

AXIS 1.1.1 release

AXIS 1.1.1 is now available. No changes were made since the release of 1.1.1rc4.

Changes since 1.1:

Better "Z extents" are chosen for the plot area. Before this, loading certain ngc-files could cause the plot to disappear.

The message shown for an error in an ngc-file now says "Near line NNN" rather than "On line NNN", because emc's rs274ngc interpreter sometimes reports a different line number than the one where the error actually occurs.

The "arrow" portion of scrollbars can now be used without locking up the X server.

Error messages now match the version of emc that AXIS was compiled for

The correct version of bwidget will be used by AXIS, even if another version is also installed.
